So this is for all of us! I don't want to spent five thousand dollars on a job posting, and people who need jobs shouldn't have to pay anything to post their resume!
I placed a few ads on big job boards and it turned out to be a lot of fake resumes, people hadn't posted their resumes in years, and no one who was qualified for the job I posted.
In the search criteria, and in my ad, I put current AHA Instructors Wanted for ACLS, BLS and PALS and what I got was lifeguards with Basic Life Support certification, Yoga Instructors, CDL drivers, one owner of a hair salon and many others who were interested in becoming instructors but didn't even have the basic certification for the class they wanted to be an instructor for.
It cost me about $200 to run the ad for pieces, of three whole days. Some of the bigger job boards wanted $5,000 for a month, or unlimited for $10,000 a year, or $80 - $250 per day!!!
And, of course, the weekends were $250/day on top of the pay per click rate, so it you don't want to get charged thousands of dollars, you had to turn off your ad on the weekends when the most people were job searching. I didn't get a single qualified candidate for my $200.
Please spread the word to your friends and help me get this started!
