Kailem, 16, and Kaine, 17, were believed to be riding the same motorbike when it collided with a silver Vauxhall Viva car.
One witness, a resident who asked to remain anonymous, described the moment he tried to perform CPR on the pair in the moments following the smash.
He said: "From my perspective it was obviously a car accident. I saw two individuals lying on the floor so I tried to help by administering CPR until the ambulance came.
"The ambulance came and took over, that's pretty much it really."
Kailem and Kaine were taken to hospital by ambulance, but they both sadly died from their injuries.
Greater Manchester Police says the pair were involved in a crash when they tried to turn from Lower Broughton Road into Clarence Street.
The Vauxhall driver, a 24-year-old woman, remained at the scene and no arrests have been made.
A sea of floral tributes were left at the scene on Lower Broughton Road alongside balloons, photographs and a huge banner saying 'RIP Kailem and Kaine'.
One tribute said: "Kaine we love you, fly high." Another added: "Kaine and Kailem RIP, gone but not forgotten."
A third person wrote: "RIP lads, you will be missed."
A grieving relative was seen sat in the road mourning the teenagers on Friday, while people on bicycles, e-scooters, and electric motorbikes rode around the area.
Several people also paid tribute to the boys on social media, with one writing: "Absolutely heartbreaking. Rest in peace our cheeky Kailem, love you forever kid."
Another said: "So so sad, rest in peace Kailem and Kaine."
