University of Tennessee wide receiver partners with Peyton Walker Foundation for sudden cardiac arrest awareness
In partnership with the Camp Hill, Pa.-based Peyton Walker Foundation, University of Tennessee wide receiver Bru McCoy donated two AEDs (automated external defibrillators) Saturday morning to NewBreed Youth Sports Inc., a youth sports program in the Knoxville community.
In addition, staff members from an East Tennessee Children’s Hospital were on-site to provide CPR and AED training and demonstrations.
The Huddle for Hearts initiative created by McCoy and the Peyton Walker Foundation is trying to raise awareness and survival rates for Sudden Cardiac arrest with AED donations, heart screenings and CPR/AED education.
