Comedian Kim Su-yong regains consciousness after CPR, recovering from acute myocardial infarction

Comedian Kim Su-yong suddenly collapsed during a YouTube shoot and was urgently transported in a harrowing incident, and news that he was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction and underwent a procedure has been reported, prompting relieved support from fans and colleagues.

Kim Su-yong suddenly collapsed on the afternoon of the 14th while filming content at a shoot location in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province. At the time, on-site personnel immediately performed emergency measures, and the ambulance crew that responded to the call performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other procedures and immediately transported him to Hanyang University Seoul Hospital in Guri. According to officials, when he collapsed he was reported to be in a very critical condition with no breathing or consciousness.

Thanks to the medical staff's prompt action, Kim Su-yong fortunately regained breathing and consciousness, and after stabilizing in the intensive care unit he was moved to a general ward to continue treatment.

His agency, Media Lab Siso, told OSEN on the 18th, “Kim Su-yong was diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction and that day successfully underwent angioplasty at Hanyang University Guri Hospital,” and added, “He has been moved to a general ward and is rapidly recovering under the careful treatment and management of medical staff.”
