12-year-old rescued after going ‘briefly unconscious’ in Eagle Mountain bathtub
A 12-year-old was rescued during a possible drowning in the bathtub of an Eagle Mountain home Friday evening, according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
The child was reportedly in the bathtub when he lost consciousness, according to Sgt. Ray Ormond, Utah County Sheriff’s Office. Family members found him and reacted quickly to the situation, though details surrounding the incident are limited at this time.
At around 7:30 p.m. on May 23, Unified Fire & EMS personnel responded to the residence and transported the boy to the hospital. He is said to be “doing much better,” according to the hospital.
In a social media post Friday night, the boy’s sister, Brynlee, said: “Hey everyone. His name is Jason and he is my younger brother. He was given life saving CPR which we will be forever grateful to our friends and neighbor. He is currently at the hospital and we are waiting for any good news. Any prayers we would appreciate so much! Thank you all for being concerned.”
