Springfield police revive infant that stopped breathing

Police officers in a Massachusetts city have revived an infant who had stopped breathing. Springfield police said in a Facebook post that three officers responded to a report of a three-month-old boy who wasn’t breathing on Tuesday.

They found the mother performing CPR but the boy was motionless and his skin was bluish. The officers took over life-saving measures, providing CPR and administering oxygen.
The boy spits up, regained consciousness, and began breathing on his own after about five minutes, the department said. The boy was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and was doing well, the department reported.
