Nelson Paganaccci - ACLS BLS PALS PHTLS IV Instructor - Post CABG Update 8:40 AM April 26, 2025

Today is April 26, 2025. Nelson got out of surgery at 3 PM yesterday afternoon. He was taken to ICU and extubated, and was alert and oriented. He has four chest tubes and his pain was eight out of ten last night. His wife Denise is at his side. 

This morning, he is up in a chair but still in a great deal of pain. My daughter Amanda is headed that way right now so I'll have more updates shortly. Our other instructors, Lauren Wilson and Ronnie Swann both paramedics will be checking in and going to see him after their classes today. 

He is in room 2018 at Penrose Hospital at 2222 N. Nevada in Colorado Springs.
