Location: Colorado Springs
Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time/Contract
Salary: $200 per class/ paid daily
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Neonatal Resuscitation Instructor to join our team. As a certified instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and training healthcare professionals on neonatal resuscitation techniques, ensuring that participants are prepared to respond to neonatal emergencies with competence and confidence.
The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical practice, a strong foundation in neonatal care, and a passion for educating others. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on neonatal outcomes and support healthcare providers in delivering the best possible care to newborns.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) courses for healthcare professionals.
- Conduct hands-on skills training and simulations to ensure participants’ mastery of neonatal resuscitation techniques.
- Ensure that current NRP guidelines are followed.
- Assess and evaluate participants’ skills and knowledge throughout the training.
- Provide feedback to healthcare providers to enhance their neonatal resuscitation skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare teams to develop and maintain a safe and effective training environment.
- Provide real-time evaluation of skills-based assessments.
- Maintain all necessary certifications, including the NRP Instructor credential.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Current certification as an NRP Instructor.
- Experience in neonatal care (e.g., NICU nurse, neonatologist, pediatrician, respiratory therapist, etc.).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- Ability to handle critical situations calmly and professionally.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred but not mandatory).
- Preferred:
- Previous teaching or instructor experience in neonatal care or similar fields.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple classes and schedules.
