American Red Cross offers classes in April
The American Red Cross Adult and& Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers classes will be offered in April at the American Red Cross office in Parkersburg.

The classes offer two-year certification to those who successfully complete the courses.

The basic course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high-speed Internet connection.

Training classes are held at American Red Cross, 220 Eighth St., Parkersburg. Classroom skill session date for the basic class is Tuesday, April 11, or Monday April 24, with both classes from 5:30-7:45 p.m. The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class will be held Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Prior registration is required for all classes and can be completed by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or by going online at www.redcross.org and click on training.
