Two men who suffered heart attacks were reunited on Thursday with the officers who recently helped to save their lives in Stoughton, Massachusetts.

Gene Faynshteyn and Jeffery Geloran visited their heroes at Stoughton Police Department Headquarters.

On Nov. 25, a caller reported seeing Faynshteyn slumped over inside a vehicle.

Lt. Timothy Hansler of the Stoughton police said he "broke the window, got Gene out, and immediately started administering care."

Hansler, along with members of the fire department, used the AED, and it saved his life.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you for everyone who helped me," Faynshteyn said.

On Dec. 6, Geloran collapsed at work. His co-workers connected the shop's AED and began lifesaving efforts.

"They hooked their own up to him before I got there, and they said there was a shock delivered to him," said Officer Michael Connolly.

"Years ago, they implemented CPR training and put defibrillators in the shop," Geloran said. "If they didn’t do that, I wouldn’t be here."

AEDs cost about $2,500 apiece and the Stoughton Police Department said they were just replaced in all of the department's cruisers.
