What has changed with the New AHA 2020 Guidelines Pre Course Work for ACLS and PALS?

What has changed with the New AHA 2020 Guidelines Pre Course Work for ACLS and PALS?

Do you remember the pretests you had to do with ACLS and PALS? Well, you still have to do them but now there is a new website. It's www.elearning.heart.org You will create an account, or just log in if you have an account. The precourse work is a little different too. It comes in two parts and is still free to take as many times as needed.. The first part is the traditional pretest. Once you start, you must go all the way through and you can't stop. On average it takes about an hour.  The second part of the precourse work is watching all the classroom course videos before you come to class.  At the end of each part you will need to take the survey and get the certificate as proof that you passed.  The first part just gives you a score (you need to get at least 70% to pass). The second part is actually a certificate and has your name and a special code on the bottom left of the page. We use this code to verify the certificate you get to make sure it's not a forgery.

This is what the ACLS Precourse looks like.

When you start part two - the class videos, you can stop and start and just get up and walk away if you need to and the program will start again right where you left off.

You need to bring two certificates with you to class. The first just shows your pretest grade, and the second looks like this. Remember, you have to complete the survey to get to this certificate.
