New info surfaces after country music star has heart attack after show
The news on country music star Colt Ford has been improving following his hospitalization after a show in Gilbert, Ariz., on Thursday.
Ford had a heart attack and his team shared with Taste of Country magazine that he was in intensive care at a hospital in Mesa.
Now, there are updates that he is improving.
Country music star Brantley Gilbert shared positive news on social media about Ford’s health.
“Finished a show in Texas last night and called to check on Colt and family got some good news!” Gilbert wrote. “Out of respect for Colt and family that’s all I’ll share. Please keep the prayers comin!”
Ford’s team recently told Taste of Country that Ford’s “condition is steadily improving in a positive direction.”
“At this time, his family is requesting privacy and appreciates your continued thoughts and prayers,” the team told Taste of Country.
Ford has had other health troubles recently, according to Taste of Country. He successfully fought off eye cancer but was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Myasthenia Gravis, which has no cure and affects the muscles in a person’s face, eyes and throat, the magazine wrote.
“It hadn’t really affected my throat, but it really affected my eye,” Ford told Taste of Country in 2023. “I had no control over my right eye. It really messes with your vision. I could see perfectly out of either eye, but then I would look together and I’d see three of you and you would be melting together like a lava lamp.”
Ford has released eight studio albums since 2008 and is a former professional golfer. His real name is Jason Farris Brown.
