HeartCode ACLS BLS and PALS
HeartCode is a two part process for getting your AHA Certification. Students take an online course at their own pace, then come in person for a 2 hour in person practice and testing session to get their AHA card.
This is a great way to do it if you work the night shift or have little time away from home or family obligations. The in person portion is approximately one to two hours vs a classroom course of six hours.
HeartCode® Online is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Basic Life Support skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner's performance.
This is an online course where learners are taught Basic Life Support, CPR on an infant, child and adult and the use of a bag mask device on simulated people on the computer. A comprehensive test is then done on the computer and a completion certificate is issued when the student completes the course. The student then takes the certificate to an American Heart Association Instructor who will perform the Hands on Practice and Testing Session called HeartCode Parts 2 and 3. Upon completion of the in-person portion of the course, students are issued an American Heart Association electronic card valid for two years.
