The Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements. This course is designed for the healthcare provider who conducts or participates in the resuscitation of a child or infant. It covers the assessment and emergency treatment in a pediatric setting. The use of the Broselow tape in calculating medication and managing the airway of a child/infant as well as CPR are all included in this 2 year certification course.
